The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells

The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells

Setting: Thornton, Louisiana, Washington, New York
Published: 1996

This is a re-read for me. I can't remember when I read it last but wanted to read the other two and can't read the first and the last without the middle.

Vivi and Sidda have the strangest relationship. They have had their up's and downs but in the end love each other and would do anything for the other. Sidda is in the mists of directing a fabulous play when the Time's gives Vivi a terrible review. The rest of the story is learning Vivi's past to get said review but also how their relationship makes a full circle.

I still like this book. I found myself smiling at moments and almost tearing up in others.

This book makes me really appreciate my relationship with my mom and miss her more and more everyday. Now that we live apart its hard for me to leave her as we are close.
